From extreme heat to wildfires to flooding, Los Angeles is on the front lines of the climate crisis. Rae will champion bold infrastructure investments that protect our communities — greening streets, improving stormwater capture, retrofitting buildings for energy efficiency, and building a more resilient city that can withstand and recover from climate shocks.

Right now, the City borrows hundreds of millions of dollars every year from big banks and pays them back with your tax dollars in fees and interest. Rae will fight to create a public bank so that money stays here and gets reinvested in our communities — funding affordable housing, green infrastructure, and local small businesses — instead of enriching Wall Street.
