Rae will crack down on wage theft, fight for better pay and stronger paid leave protections, and make it harder for large corporations to game the system by disguising themselves as small businesses to grab resources meant for real local shops. Every worker in Los Angeles deserves dignity, fair pay, and the ability to build a stable life.

Small businesses are the backbone of our neighborhoods. Rae will cut red tape that makes it harder to open and run a small business in LA, create accessible loan and grant programs for small and community-owned businesses, and ensure that City contracting and procurement prioritizes local, worker-owned, and minority-owned businesses.
